A German ba
sed manufacturer of high end ceramic filters contracted with our customer to design and build a series of robots to produce filters in their newly constructed $44 million dollar manufacturing facility in Germany. A critical element in the design of these robots was an environmentally controlled room to protect the robots from plant dust and adverse temperature swings.
After completion of the design and fabrication of the robots, our customer had to demonstrate to their customer the complete procedure of fabrication of the filters and test run the system at their facility in Upstate New York. After their customers approval, the whole system was broken down and shipped to Germany where it would be reconstructed at their new manufacturing facility.
There were several reasons our customer selected Porta-King modular rooms to create these enclosures:
Outstanding insulation values.
Durable construction features.
Their customer wanted enclosures with a “high-tech” appearance to compliment their new “state of the art” facility.
System flexibility that made it easy to change the wall configuration from solid panel to framed opening, or door to window.
Ease of assembly.
Flexibility that facilitated take down and reassembly in Germany with a 100% recapture of their initial materials investment.
