This Modular Room was installed to house environmentally sensitive equipment used for testing manufactured components. As you can see in this photo, we included extra tall walls to accommodate the special testing process which takes place inside. The walls of this room are white painted steel. The aluminum connecting post and framing are also painted white to match the interior and exterior wall surface. In addition, the vertical connecting post of this Versa-King modular computer room also serve as a wiring chase to conceal electrical, data and communication system wiring within the wall panel.
A caged ladder was included to enable plant personnel to access the storage area located on the far end of this photo. A steel double door was included to allow easy transfer of materials into the room for testing.
The other advantage to using a completely prefabricated wall design is the elimination of the mess created from the on-site cutting of materials they knew would occur with conventional construction. This was of particular importance to this customer because of the concern about dust and debris getting into the equipment they were trying to protect. The prefabricated design was critical in keeping the area of construction extra clean along with the added advantage of dramatically improving the time frame of project completion. The other advantage to this type of prefabricated construction is that all materials can be taken down and reconstructed or reconfigured at a different location.
Porta-King Building Systems has been manufacturing modular rooms for over 40 years. Let us show you the advantages of using prefabricated construction to protect your sensitive equipment.
