 This is a Durasteel 8’x8’ prefabricated steel guard building. This buildinng was installed to shelter security personnel who check vehicles entering and exiting this commercial facility in downtown Atlanta. This Durasteel unit has a custom roof design that includes both a 24” extended overhang to help shade the guards from the sun and an 18” high fascia with a horizontal reveal running the full perimeter to enhance the architectural appeal. The roof also included an extra tall fascia to allow installation of entry / exit lights.
Because this building was shipped prefabricated, installation, was as simple off-loading from the flatbed truck and anchoring it onto the existing concrete pad.
Standard pricing for our buildings includes painting any single color selected by our customer. We apply a rust inhibitive primer and then two finish coats of industrial grade acrylic enamel to ensure years of trouble free performance. Optional, custom paint applications including multi-colored finishes, special paint types are also available.
This prefabricated steel guard building also included a factory installed electric system designed in accordance to the customer’s specifications. Included in this electric system was a through wall HVAC unit located in the back of the structure. Power for the HVAC is provided by a wall mounted outlet directly adjacent to the unit.
To ensure the prefabricated guard booth will be constructed in accordance to the customer’s wishes, detailed approval drawings were created and submitted for the customer to review and approve prior to beginning the fabrication of the building.
