 This smoking shelter provides a comfortable place for smoking employees and visitors of this hospital that no longer provides accommodations for smoking inside. This shelter, like all others we manufacture, was shipped from our factory completely assembled including the bench. The layout of this structure represents our floor plan layout “C”. This design indicates a 4-wall layout with two points of entry. Porta-King offers three standard layouts and countless custom designs. Installation of this portable shelter was as simple as off-loading from the truck and anchoring to existing concrete footings. All Porta-King shelters include a factory installed roof with self contained gutters located on the two long sides of the structure. All Porta-King shelters include a durable industrial grade acrylic enamel paint finish. As a standard, we will paint structures any single color. Typically, if our customer is selecting a special color we will rely on them to supply a physical color sample for us to make sure the paint is an exact match. Optional, multi-colored, paint finishes are also available.
To further protect our smoking shelters from rust, we include a bituminous coating on the structural support tubes and anchoring plates. We also manufacture a fully enclosed unit where we eliminate the openings at the bottom. The fully enclosed design is popular in areas of the country where heavy snowfall is common. This modified design prevents snow from blowing and drifting into the inside of the building. Optional lighting and heat can be added to any Porta-King smoking shelter to enhance smoker’s comfort. The portable design of this structure, allows it to be easily moved to another location in the future if desired.
