Built For Safety And Code Compliance
The PK Structures structural steel mezzanine system is designed and built to meet the most stringent safety and structural standards as defined by the new 2003 International Building Code (IBC 2003), making us the leader in safety and code compliance.
The IBC is the combined effort of three model code groups, and is intended to be a comprehensive set of regulations for building systems consistent with and inclusive of the latest existing codes. The IBC 2003 requires structures, including structural steel mezzanines, to be designed to resist the strongest seismic forces in a much larger portion of the continental US than previous national model building codes. In addition, it specifies that seismic loads now must be considered in areas where they were previously ignored.
Each structure will be designed to meet structural standards for your region's seismic zone. All beam-to-column connections utilize established AISC standards. In addition, systems meet or exceed safety standards set by OSHA.
