This Modular Wall System was installed at this Midwest based manufacturer to help separate and organize the different machinery used in their production process. In addition, the prefab wall system improves plant safety by serving as a barrier that separates the machinery from the main traffic isle where visitors often travel during factory tours.
This company saw many advantages to using modular walls in lieu of conventional construction. Prefab walls can be installed in a fraction of the time required for conventional construction. In addition, the design of prefab walls enables modification or relocation when plant floor operations change. Porta-King prefab walls arrive on-site, pre-cut and ready for immediate installation. This eliminates the mess created when cutting stock material to fit specific dimensions. The Porta-King representative met on-site with this customer to determine the appropriate layout requirements for this prefab wall system.
Once a final design was determined, Porta-King production engineers created detailed computer generated approval drawings for final on-site review. Porta-King will also redesign the layout of these prefab walls in the future at no charge. This holds true even if no additional materials are required.
The 3” thick walls of our wall systems are sturdy enough to withstand the harshest plant environment while taking up less valuable floor space than conventionally built block or stud walls. Common panel finishes for prefab walls used for this type of application include painted steel or fiberglass reinforced plastic (frp). Other panel finishes are also available.
