| Modular Walls with Large Steel Framed Opening |
This modular partition system was constructed prohibit visitors from viewing certain sensitive manufacturing operations. The modular partition system design was ideally suited for this application because it enabled quick, clean assembly with little or no disruption to manufacturing operations immediately adjacent to the construction area. A special door was created to allow movement of large materials in and out of the modular partition system which surrounds this secured area. Structural steel columns were incorporated in between the vertical connecting posts of this modular partition system to stabilize the wall and enable it to be free standing.
This modular partition system included other optional features to improve to enhance the field performance of this wall system. Fiberglass reinforced plastic (frp) was added to the lower portion of the wall panels to protect them from pallet jacks and other push carts frequently used in this area. Compound angles were incorporated into the corners to enhance the appearance and to conform to an existing traffic way. In addition to the quick, clean assembly this modular partition system offered, the prefabricated design would also allow redesign or relocation of this wall to facilitate changes in manufacturing operations.
