| Modular Room Used as a Ticket Booth |
This modular room is being used as a ticket booth at this major international airport to house attendants who sell ticket for the areas mass transit system. The customer selected a prefabricated design to facilitate quick installation and minimize disruptions in this very busy terminal.
A modular design was selected for this ticket booth because of an on-site restriction that would prohibit transporting one of our pre-assembled buildings to the desired location. The design of this room enabled us to ship it knocked down for construction on site. The prefabricated panels were removed from the crate and transported to the construction site where they we quickly assembled into the finished product you see in this photograph.
The panels of this structure arrive pre-framed with anodized aluminum extrusions. Assembly of this system consists of pivoting and locking adjacent panels together to create a complete wall system. Even the doors, windows and transaction drawer were pre-installed into individual panels at our factory. Because of this unique connection method, installation of the wall panels and roof of this ticket booth were completed in only a few hours. The project, including electrical hook-up, was completed within one day.
The panels of this modular room are a full three inches thick and consist of an insulated core and a finished exterior of smooth anodized aluminum permanently laminated to 1/8” hardboard to create a maintenance free, highly impact resistant surface.
An insulated, interlocking, panelized ceiling system was included to facilitate the installation of a roof top air conditioning unit.
