| Modular Room Installed on a Mezzanine |
Porta-King provided this Modular Room and PK Structures Mezzanine to create a separate working environment inside this manufacturing facility located in the Southeastern United States. The height of the mezzanine had to be custom fit to match up to the existing catwalk shown in this photograph.
The customer selected Porta-King because they wanted to work with a company that could supply both the room and the mezzanine. The customer chose to go with modular construction because they had previous experience with another Porta-King building and appreciated the flexibility it afforded them in their plant layout design.
The Porta-King representative and local dealer met with the customer at their facility to review the specific requirements for this application. Once a final layout was determined an approval drawing was generated which showed both the modular room and the mezzanine.
As a sole source supplier for both products, Porta-King was able to create detailed approval drawings showing the system separately along with a single drawing integrating the two systems together. This drawing helped to assure the customer that these two structures would fit perfectly together during the installation process.
To further simplify this project, both the mezzanine and the modular room arrived on the same truck. This greatly simplified the coordination effort required by customer’s shipping and receiving department. Both products arriving at the same time also made coordination for the installation much easier for all parties involved.
