Porta-King supplied this modular tall wall system to this Midwest manufacturing company to create a large room underneath this structural steel mezzanine. Because Porta-King also manufactured the mezzanine, we were able to perform as a true systems integrator. Utilizing prefabricated designs for both the modular tall walls and the mezzanine allowed the customer to complete this project in considerably less time that if they had selected to use conventional construction and an on-site steel fabricator. All of the components of our prefabricated modular walls arrive pre-cut and mitered and ready for installation. A over-sized custom sliding door was constructed to facilitate movement of material as the walls.
Because space around the construction site was limited, a ‘stackable’ panel design was utilized for construction of the modular walls. It was determined that the smaller sections used our stackable panel design were easier to maneuver around existing equipment inside the plant. This meant it would take less time to transport the panels from the receiving dock to the construction site.
A Porta-King representative worked on-site in cooperation with the customer to create the desired final layout design for this integrated system design. Once the final layout was determined we created detailed approval drawings, which show integration of the two systems and allowing the customer to review the layout details of this integrated system prior to fabrication. This process typically eliminates on-site problems and delays during installation.
