This 3" Versa-King Modular Tall Wall System was installed at a Southeast based manufacturer to create a controlled environment for a special manufacturing process. The walls are tied into a structural steel support system that was constructed by the owner prior to the installation of the modular system. A large steel framed opening was included to enable integration of an electronically operated sliding door supplied by the owner.
Fixed windows, glazed with 3/16” tempered safety glass were utilized along the entire length of the wall to allow plenty of visibility from inside and outside of the enclosed area. This was of particular importance to the owner since the often host tours for visiting customers.
Once the final layout was determined we created detailed approval drawings for on-site review. This was of particular importance on this project since the steel supports for the walls would be fabricated and installed before the arrival of our product. Reviewing the drawings on-site typically eliminates most problems with on-site coordination with other trades involved in the construction project. Ultimately, taking the extra time on the front end pays off by eliminating on-site problems that can cause costly delays during the installation.
