This two story modular office was constructed for office space and a quality control room at this East Coast manufacturing facility. The two-story modular building was constructed adjacent to a structural steel mezzanine.
The mezzanine was added to provide needed storage space above and below the mezzanine deck. This mezzanine utilizes a cantilevered design to adjoin the storage area to the modular two story office. A door is located on the top floor of the modular building to provide the employees with easy access to the storage area. Porta-King Building Systems manufactured both the two story modular office the mezzanine.
Porta-King supplied this structural steel mezzanine through our PK Structures mezzanine manufacturing division. The prefabricated design of the modular office and mezzanine provided the customer the advantage of quicker and cleaner construction when compared with using other conventional building methods.
In addition, this entire modular system was delivered in prefabricated components that could be easily transported to a remote plant location for assembly. The modular design also allowed the customer to create custom floor plans for both floors that would meet their specific application requirements.
We create detailed approval drawings, which show integration of the two systems allowing the customer to review the layout details of this integrated system prior to fabrication. This process typically eliminates on-site problems during installation.
