| Modular Garage Building with Restricted Ceiling Clearance |
This 3” Versa-King modular garage office is installed deep inside a parking garage where there was limited ceiling clearance. This building was installed to serve as both an office space as well as a central cashiering station. Modular construction was selected for this application for a variety of reasons. The construction site for this building was located on the lower level of this parking garage making it impossible to use one of our a preassembled building for this application. This beauty of this modular system is that it ships in prefabricated components that were easily transported to this remote location for on-site assembly. The customer also liked that this modular design could accomodate a the specific custom floor plan they had in mind for this project. You can see in the picture that the building was designed into an "L" shape that allowed them to maximize the enclosed space within the restricted area they had available.
The 3” thick insulated panels of the Versa-King wall system also provided excellent thermal and sound control to enhance the comfort of the occupants. Because of limited ceiling clearance, the prefabricated panels were cut down at our factory prior to shipping. A horizontal sliding window was added to enable transactions between the parking attendant and patrons. To protect the walls from abuse the customer requested we add a finished surface of diamond embossed anodized aluminum. In addition, several fixed windows were added to provide better visibility from inside the modular garage office. All of the components used in constructing this modular office are pre-cut and mitered to fit the exact floor plan dimensions for this specific application.
Porta-King supplied the end user with detailed approval drawings, which illustrated the exact layout of this modular garage office. The end user reviewed and approved the drawings prior to fabrication at our factory. This process greatly reduces the possibility of mistakes.
