For this particular project, Porta-King and the local dealer met on-site with the customer to review the requirements for this project and to discuss which Porta-King product would be best suited for this application. After discussing the various options, the customer decided that our Versa-King 3” modular system was a better option than one of our preassembled buildings.
This 8'wide by 8'long 3" Versa-King Modular Equipment Enclosures was installed adjacent to a shipping dock at a Midwest based manufacturing facility. This structure was added on to the backside of the building to house a new air compressor. The customer added this space to enable installation of the compressor outside of the existing structure. The enclosure was equipped with an exterior roof along with a weather resistant fiberglass reinforced plastic (frp) exterior wall surface. The 3” walls of our Versa-King system offer great insulating value along with excellent sound attenuation.
No doors were required for this structure since access to the interior would be accommodated with a door located on the inside wall of the existing structure.
The anodized aluminum framing is maintenance free for years of trouble free service.
Because of the pre-engineered design features, the entire installation of this equipment enclosure was completed in less than a day. In addition, the pre-engineered design will allow the customer to move or expand this structure while recapturing 100 percent of the original materials purchased.
