This 3” Versa-King wall system was used to create a Modular Clean Room inside this East Coast based manufacturing facility. Utilizing modular walls to create this clean room enabled project to be completed is a fraction of the time that would have been required using conventional construction materials. In addition, this entire structure can be modified or moved to another location in the future with a 100% recapture of the materials purchased for the original construction.
Because we custom design each system, there are not limitations to the level of customization we can incorporate into the final design. One of the primary reason this customer selected Porta-King was because of our ability to provide the custom design features they wanted for this unique application. Another advantage to using modular walls is that they can be reconfigured to create new floor plan designs in the future. Our local dealer visited on-site with this customer to determine the specific application requirements for this modular clean room. Many optional features were added to meet the customers design requirements. One of these features was a finished surface of PVC for the interior and exterior surface of the modular walls.
The customer also requested larger than standard windows to enable visitors to observe activities inside this modular clean room. Our dealer selected the 3” Versa-King because the structural integrity of the system. The vertical connecting posts used for assembling the walls also serve as structural columns capable of supporting the addition of the load bearing components that support the clean room gasketed grid, ceiling tile, hepa filters, air grills and diffusers that were part of the overall system design.
To make sure the final design was in compliance with the end users desires, Porta-King provided our dealer with detailed approval drawings to complete an on-site review prior to fabrication of this modular clean room. Our dealer reviewed the drawings with the customer to determine if any last minute modification to the design layout of the modular clean room prior to fabrication. This process assures the final design will be in compliance with the customer’s expectations.
