| Modular Clean Room with Air Shower |
This modular clean room was constructed using our 3” Versa-King wall system for use by an electronics manufacturer located on the East Coast. Utilization of our modular walls enabled our customer to create this clean room is a fraction of the time that would have been required using conventional construction materials. In addition, this entire structure can be modified or moved to another location in the future with a complete recapture of the Porta-King components purchased for the original project.
In this photo you will see the inside of the clean room along with an air shower, supplied by our dealer as an additional component of the overall project. The air shower minimizes the amount of particulate matter that could contaminate the room from those individuals entering the room from the untreated outside environment. The flexibility of our wall system allowed the panels to be easily tied into the walls of the air shower to create a seamless transition. All clean rooms we design are customized to meet the exact application requirements. Because our wall systems are so flexible, there are not limitations to the level of customization we can incorporate into the final design
In addition to the air shower you will see one of our heavy-duty aluminum double doors. This Porta-King exclusive door design is a popular option for clean room applications for a variety of reasons. First and foremost is the look of the door. It has clean lines and the framing blends perfectly with the other anodized aluminum structural components of the room. In addition, this door includes larger vision lites as a standard feature. This door can also be easily modified to include glass in the lower section as well to increase visibility into the room and further enhance the aesthetic appeal. Single leaf and special size heavy-duty doors are also available.
Our local dealer worked with the local Porta-King representative during visits on-site with the customer to determine the specific application requirements for this modular clean room
Our dealer selected the 3” Versa-King wall system to create this clean room because of the structural integrity of the system. The vertical connecting posts used for assembling the walls also serve as structural columns capable of supporting the addition of the load bearing components that support the clean room gasketed grid, ceiling tile, hepa filters, air grills and diffusers that were part of the overall system design. In addition, the cavity area inside the connecting post can serve as a chase to conceal electrical and data wiring.
