| Environmental Room for Special Production Process |
This Environmental Room will be used to create a controlled environment for a special manufacturing process at this Midwest based company. This customer selected our Monolith wall system to create a series of environmentally controlled rooms. The monolith wall system utilizes a tongue and groove method for connecting wall panels together. This design eliminates the need for the vertical connectors commonly used in our other wall systems. In doing so, there are virtually no voids within the wall panel, which was deemed to be a critical feature for this application. This design feature is why our Monolith wall is preferred for construction of rooms or other structures used in food processing industry where a solid wall is critical. Like our other modular buildings, the monolith wall system provides the end user with the flexibility to create a custom floor plan layout specially designed to meet their functional requirements. The walls of the monolith system consist of painted steel on both sides laminated to a solid EPS or, optional, Polyurethane insulating core. Panel surfaces are available in either a textured or smooth painted finishes.
The enclosure shown in this photo included three steel framed opening that were designed to support special doors supplied locally by the end user. The wall construction of this these environmental rooms also includes several cutouts to enable passage of material into and out of a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Each room also utilized the Monolith panels to create a panelized roof system. The solid, insulated design of these panels not only helped control the temperature, was also easy to seal at the top of the wall panels. In addition, because the panels are installed directly on top of the modular walls, the customer was able to create more useable floor to ceiling space inside the room.
