Solar Powered Shelters Fit Remote Sites
This Porta-King Durasteel prefabricated transit shelter includes a solar panel that provides power for a dusk-to-dawn island of light in remote areas where standard electrical service is impractical. Popular environments for these shelters include parking lots and mass transit passenger waiting areas such as bus shelters.  Utilzing the solar panel save money by eliminating the need to run electrical service to the remote areas where these shelters are needed.

This Durasteel prefabricated transit shelter features a reliable, built-in battery pack that provides power to its energy efficient lighting system. A reliable roof-mounted solar panel converts sunlight into electrical current that is stored in the long-lasting battery pack. The lighting system can provide illumination for as much as 16 hours when fully charged.

Porta-King's Durasteel transit shelters like the one shown in this photo arrive fully assembled and ready for installation. All Durasteel shelters feature a structural, tubular steel framework and comes in a variety of tough acrylic finishes. The framework is made of 2" X 2" X .120 AST A500 Grade B welded tubing.
