| Guard Building Protects Grocery Chain Distribution Facility |
Duraluminum 28’x10’ Guard Building with Clear Anodized Aluminum finish, tinted tempered safety glass and swing doors.
Porta-King manufactured this guard building for use in securing the perimeter around this Midwest based grocery distribution facility. To meet the customer’s requirements, Porta-King manufactured the guard booth as a single unit to be delivered to the construction site for immediate installation onto the pre-poured concrete pad. Due to the larger size of this guard building, you will see that the installation contractor used a crane with spreader bars and straps to lift the structure off of the truck and onto the concrete pad. The installation of this preassemlbed unit was completed within a few hours.
To guarantee the success of this project, detailed approval drawings were prepared to make certain that the guard booth was designed and laid out properly prior to fabrication. The approval drawings included a comprehensive review of contruction details related to the design of the booth. Details included locations and dimensions of floor cutouts to facilitate the running of electrical service into the building. Because of this careful pre-planning prior to construction of the building, pouring of the pad and placement of electrical stubs ups, all aspects of this construction project came together perfectly.
Once the building was in place, the anchor tabs for the base were mechanically fastened to the slab to secure the structure in place.
