Durasteel PC 7’x4’ Guard house with corner free, butt glazing, 12” high extended roof fascia and two-tone paint. The "corner free" design creates a unique look by eliminating the steel corners we would typically use to form the structural frame of the building.
Porta-King designs our guard houses in accordance to the customer’s specific requirements. Although we offer many standard guard houses each building we manufacture will incorporate special design features to match our customer’s application requirements. Porta-King used all steel construction in the manufacturer our Durasteel and Durasteel PC preassembled buildings. We use all steel construction for these guard houses because of the smooth aesthetic appearance of steel and the customer’s preference for steel construction. Porta-King also manufactures all anodized aluminum guard booths. Anodized aluminum guard booths are often selected because of the maintenance free exterior surface. Anodized aluminum is also ideal for application in coastal areas where the salty sea air can have adverse effect on steel of mill finished aluminum surfaces.
Our standard guard house includes a top suspended sliding door. A swing door can be added to our guard booths in lieu of the sliding door for no addtional charge. Sliding doors are typically more popular for guard booths that will be placed in a traffic lane. The sliding door is safer because it does not open into the traffic lane.
Our standard guard booths include an installed roof with an integral gutter. The roof of our guard house will also include a membrane skin on top of the roof to make them weather tight. Standing seam roofs or other custom designs can be added to a guard booth to enhance the aesthetics.
