Porta-King Building Systems is proud to provide portable trailer booths to enhance security at our nation’s airports. This particular unit is being used at this Midwest international airport to shelter security personnel working at the entrance to parking areas during heightened security alerts. The trailer enhances the portability of this booth to allow airport security personnel to quickly move it into position whenever the need arises. Manual jacks are included to enable the leveling of the trailer during security operations.
Most booths are equipped with sliding doors. Although swing doors are also available at no additional charge, sliding doors are often preferred because they do not impose the same space restrictions on the trailer deck. All our sliding doors are a full 1 3/4” thick for added security and top suspended to reduce the maintenance commonly required with bottom track door assemblies. This primary function of this trailer booth is to provide a warm, dry environment for security personnel to wait in between vehicle inspections. Optional insulation can be added to the walls, roof and floor for added thermal control.
A through-wall H.V.A.C. unit can be included to provide heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. Horizontal sliding windows are also included to allow cross ventilation on more temperate days. The airport provided a portable generator to provide power to this building. Porta-King can incorporate trailer mounted, gas powered generators with our buildings for use when conventional power sources are not available.
All Porta-King Duraluminum booths include a 10-year warranty against roof leakage. We also offer a 5-year warranty against surface deterioration on all anodized aluminum surfaces.
