Durasteel 30’x10’ Guard Building with tinted tempered safety glass, custom creased exterior wall panels, 18” extended roof overhang with recessed can lights, 28” high extended roof fascia, flashing traffic lights and Hurricane Shutters.
Porta-King Building Systems is proud to support efforts to increase security at our nation’s seaports. We manufactured these highly customized port security guard building for use at this major Southeastern seaport. This port security guard building provides shelter the security personnel responsible for securing this port. This building also provides shelter for the sophisticated equipment used by port security. These buildings shipped fully assembled from our factory.
The portable design allowed port security personnel to imediately occupy the guard building after it was placed onto the existing concrete slab. This port security guard building included a multitude of custom features that served to enhance both the function and aesthetics of the building. Recessed lights were included around the perimeter to illuminate the area for nighttime operations. Entry and exit lights were installed in the roof fascia to assist in controlling truck traffic.
Heavy-duty top suspended sliding doors were used in lieu of swing doors to allow port security personnel to enter and exit the guard building without creating a traffic hazard. Retractable shutters were included on all windows for protection against hurricane force winds. Due to the remote location the Port Authority also requested Porta-King to install complete restroom facilities and kitchen area inside this structure. Aesthetic features included a raised roof fascia to conceal a roof top H.V.A.C. unit. Custom raised steel panels were added around the perimeter of this port security guard building for a more unique appearance.
