| Ballistic Rated Guard Building |
Ballistic Rated Durasteel 22’x8’ UL 752 Level 4 Guard Building. With a modular panel shroud to conceal the roof mounted HVAC units.
The need for ultra high security and this federal government installation required the addition of a UL Level 4 ballistic rated guard building. Porta-King manufactured the ballistic rated guard building at our manufacturing facility in Montgomery City, Missouri.
This building was shipped to the location as a one piece preassembled structure, ready for installation onto the existing concrete pad. The space in which the building was to be placed was very limited. To facilitate a smooth installation, Porta-King worked closely with the contractor in preparation for the off-loading and anchoring of this ballistic rated guard building. Prior to delivery, detailed approval drawings were prepared and to make sure that everything was designed and laid out properly prior to fabrication. This included a drawing of the floor structure which show dimensions and locations of cutouts for electrical stub ups that were already in-place.
The approval drawings also detailed locations and dimensions of floor cutouts to facilitate the running of electrical service into the building. The ballistic rated guard building fit perfectly onto the concrete pad. The anchor tabs for the building were then attached to the slab to secure the building in place. In addition to the prefabricated building, Porta-King also supplied the modular panels for installation on top of the building to serve as a shroud cover for the HVAC units. These modular panels included a steel skin on the interior and exterior surface and were painted to match the color of the guard building.
