Portable Rooms

Our portable rooms offer the ultimate in design flexibility for your facility. These units arrive fully assembled including an integral floor structure, virtually eliminating down time for installation. This includes not only the walls, roof and floor, but can also include pre-installed electric systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression. Because they are built on a rigid floor frame, these rooms can be picked up and moved from location to location as needs change.

Unlike other modular "trailer type" buildings, who offer limited design flexibility, each Porta-King building is custom designed to meet the exact floor plan requirements for the application. These portable rooms also include a wide array of finish floor options. Most common is vinyl tile squares or sheet vinyl, but many other options are available.  In addition to custom flooring options we also offer a wide array of other options for the wall, roof systems, doors and windows we use to construct a room. 

Larger foot prints for our portable rooms are also available. Depending on the size of the structure, we can divide up the space into smaller modules that are easily connected together on-site.  Again, these larger units can include pre-installed electric systems, HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression.   To enhance the structural integrity of a larger office we’ll reinforce the individual modules with an internal structural steel framework.  This framework is added for two reasons.  First, the rigid frame works allows the modules to be more easily moved from the truck to the construction site where they can be aligned with other modules then bolted together to create a semi-permanent office complex.  Second, the frame work enables the modules to be disconnected and moved to a new location if required where they can then be re-assembled with the other modules.

Like our traditional modular offices these portable units consist of clear satin anodized aluminum or painted connecting posts to frame the wall panels and form a tight fit around window and door frames to create a solid and secure enclosure. The aluminum posts won’t rust when exposed to moisture from high humidity or wash down conditions.  In addition, these vertical connecting posts of our Versa-King modular wall system also serve as a wiring chase to conceal electrical, data and communication system wiring within the wall.
