Communication Shelters

Porta-King communication shelters provide security and safety for valuable and sensitive communication equipment. We offer several unique construction types and custom designed layouts to suit a variety of application requirements.

Exterior models are available as fully assembled structures in either steel (Durasteel) or anodized aluminum (Duraluminum) construction. Both offer flexible and functional design with a solid, reliable structure to withstand inclement weather and protect against theft and vandalism.

The Durasteel communication shelters feature 14-gauge exteriors continuously welded into a rigid, structural steel tube framework for long-lasting durability. Durasteel buildings are also available in ballistic rated construction up to and including NIJ Level 4.

Duraluminum shelters are designed to be maintenance-free, consisting of uniform structural components, all factory-assembled to create a sturdy communication shelter that’s hassle free and extremely dependable. These factory-assembled models can be outfitted with an unlimited number of options that address both form and function. Shelters can be modified to increase capability and enhance organization with custom cabinetry and mounting brackets for equipment installation. Ask about a number of other accessories can be added as well for convenience.

For interior applications, Porta-King manufactures communication shelters with modular design components for simple, on-site assembly. These units are installed directly onto an existing slab or platform. Modular structures can also be shipped with floor structures to enhance portability as needs change or if removal becomes necessary.

These interior models consist of an aluminum structural framework that is used to connect a laminated sandwich wall panel design.  Panels include a solid insulating core of EPS expanded polystyrene or urethane and a wide array of panel finish surfaces are available depending upon the project.
