| Bus Shelter on Surface Parking Lot of Large Retail Chain Store |
We provided this bus shelter for use by customers of a large retail chain store to keep them comfortable while they wait for the local transportation service to arrive.
This large 15 long by 8 wide unit was shipped completely assembled. This structure consists of heavy-duty structural steel to create a rigid frame strong enough to withstand heavy snow loads and high winds. The fixed windows in the bus shelter are tempered safety glass with maintenance free anodized aluminum frames.
An aluminum bench was added to this bus shelter to provide added comfort. Benches can be added along any wall and at any length. Benches are typically made of aluminum and are pre-installed onto wall panels prior to shipping. All shelters include an installed roof with self-contained gutters on the two long sides of the structure. All are painted with two coats of an industrial grade acrylic enamel paint to guard against rust. A virtually limitless selection of paint colors is available to match any corporate or architectural color scheme. To further protect our shelters, the steel legs and anchoring plates are pre-coated with a bituminous coating which is applied as a rust inhibitor prior to the application of the final coat.
Porta-King bus shelters can also be equipped with electrical accessories including lighting, heat or other electrical service. Because this structure is shipped fully assembled including the roof, installation is as simple as off-loading from the truck and anchoring onto an existing concrete pad. In addition to making installation easier, this preassembled design also allows easy relocation should this be required in the future.
