New Photocell Shelters Provide "Smart" Lighting
November 23, 2004
|
Porta-King's new Durasteel( Model PCL shelters feature photocell-activated, dusk-to-dawn lighting that never leaves people in the dark at shuttle stations, bus stops and other mass transit shelter locations.
The PCL shelter arrives fully assembled and ready for installation at a prepared site. Once the shelter is "powered up," the built-in photocell constantly monitors lighting conditions and automatically switches the weathertight fluorescent fixture on when illumination is not sufficient for the safety and security of users.
The Durasteel PCL shelter features a structural, tubular steel framework and comes in a variety of tough acrylic finishes. Framework tubing is made of 2" X 2" X .120 AST A500 Grade B welded steel tubing.
