Our towers are designed to create highly functional structures that can be used anywhere in the world. The pre-engineered components that we provide to construct our towers are designed to be easy to erect so your time of construction is dramatically reduced when compared to conventional construction. Porta-King Towers are constructed of the highest quality american materials to provide the most durable structures that will provide years of trouble free service.
Porta-King uses all structural steel 3 1/2″ square tubing in all columns. Larger column diameters result in greater column rigidity than equal weight columns with smaller sections. Column centers are custom designed to meet loading requirements for your area. Snow, wind and seismic loads will be considered. Centered base plates maximize stability and reduce sway.
We use all wide flange beams which are by design symetrical and concentrate steel at the flanges and radii to provide the greatest strength and point load capacity.
All attachment angles, tees and seats are fully welded to attachment components. This eliminates confusion created when all of these components ship loose for installation on site. Factory installation of all of these components dramatically reduces installation time. All components to be galvanized for exterior use.
We use a heavy-duty structural steel components to create an incredibly rigid framework. We completely weld the entire primary structure so that it arrives at your facility ready to be stood up and anchored. All steel is galvanized to resist corrosion and provide years of maintenance free performance.
Welded structural steel components are used to create a more economical design without sacrificing code compliance and safety. A complete tower frame is shipped to your facility ready to be stood up and anchored. The roof and ships ladder are then easily installed on-site to complete the assembly process. Access to the top of each tower is by use of our internal galley stair systems. The stairs are factory installed into every tower to further enhance the speed of assembly. Like our deck surface we utilize galvanized, serrated plank grating to facilitate air movement and prevent buildup of light snow, ice and rain.
All guards shall be 42” high with full expanded metal coverage to achieve the safest possible standing areas near the edge of the tower. These rails also satisfy code requirements that these railings meet “public access” aspects of the building codes. These like the rest of the tower to be galvanized for the outdoor applications.
